Our project

Our group can offer different types of studies : market analysis, project evaluation, impact and feasability study, diagnosis... All of them are to be linked to the agronomical, agro-ecological or agroforestry sectors.

We have been hired by the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) to produce an agricultural diagnosis on the small farms of the coastline of French Guyana.

The general purpose of our mission is to highlihght the different farming practices that are used by the farmers of the coastline. It is directly linked with the agricultural development. This will permit the IRD to identify if the lands are properly used and that the farming doesn't imply a fast and abnormal degradation.

The concrete realisation of our project will be to go there during two months, to do some surveys to the farmers of the coastline, with the help of an engineer who works there.

What's a junior expertise ?

It's an expertise realised by a group of ten engineering students in agronomy in order to serve a sponsor working in international development.

Our approach is divided in three stages :

A preparation phase to define and prepare the project;
A field study of 4 to 8 weeks;
A continual teaching support, which includes a tutoring on the ground by a teachers-researchers.
